HOW to make your own wine

The Process:

Select Your Wine Type – Come into our store and decide the type of wine you would like to make. Consult with our expert wine makers to help you decide.

Mix the Wine – Your high quality juices are mixed with yeast and other ingredients to formulate the ideal wine to suit your taste with the help of our experienced staff.

Personalize Your Labels – Discuss customized labeling options with The Castle Cellar staff in preparation for your next visit to bottle and label your wine.

Fermentation – Our staff members will nurture your wine through the fermentation process over the next few weeks, depending on the type of wine you’ve selected.

In 4 to 8 weeks …

Your wine is ready to be bottled! Call us to set a date and time that suits your schedule, or use our online appointment booking, and you can then come in and begin the bottling process.

Bottle, Cork, & Label

Once the bottles are corked, we will help you choose your personal labels and shrink wraps — these are included in the price, so don’t be shy! Labels can be “ready made” for the wine you have chosen, or personalized for weddings, holiday, gifts, or a label that you design. The possibilities are endless!

Most beginners can have 30 bottles completed in less than an hour, and once you’re comfortable, 30 minutes or less, and it is an assured good time. Like any fine wine process, there is no rush to finish the bottling — take your time and enjoy! … And, of course, we are always available to help you with any questions you might have.

Take Wine Home – Take your wine home to stock your personal wine cellar or share with family and friends!
